HMSHost Opens New Linda Bean’s Maine Lobster Café at Portland International Jetport

New restaurant offers travelers authentic Maine recipes and sustainable Maine lobsters

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Portland International Jetport (PWM) today celebrated the grand opening of the new Linda Bean’s Maine Lobster Café, brought to the airport by HMSHost Corporation, a world leader in travel dining and shopping. Travelers and local dignitaries enjoyed the festivities at the 180 seat, full service restaurant and lounge designed by Linda Bean and HMSHost.

Located post-security at Gate 10, Linda Bean’s Maine Lobster Café is the newest brand to join the HMSHost roster at PWM. The restaurant features authentic Maine recipes and fresh Maine produce and live Maine lobsters to go. That’s right! Linda Bean’s Maine Lobster Café offers travelers freshly packed live Maine lobsters to bring home on their return flights. The menu offers Linda’s famous Lobster Roll made with a full quarter pound of fresh lobster meat sourced directly from the Maine coast. Travelers will also be able to enjoy a Vinalhaven Lobster Wrap, made with bacon, shredded lettuce and mixed with Linda’s secret dressing. Non-seafood items include fresh salads, hamburgers, a Turkey Bistro and a Chicken Bacon Swiss sandwich.

Grand opening set for Linda Bean’s Jetport restaurant

PORTLAND, Maine — Gov. Paul LePage will be on hand for the grand opening of Linda Bean’s newest lobster restaurant, at the Portland International Jetport.

LePage and Bean will be at the airport Thursday for the official opening of the 180-seat Linda Bean’s Maine Lobster Cafe.

Bean is the granddaughter of L.L. Bean, founder of the Maine-based outdoors outfitter that carries his name. She has seven other restaurants that sell her lobster products.

The new eatery features a menu that includes plenty of lobster dishes — including lobster quesadilla, lobster pasta, lobster rolls and lobster sliders — along with other selections.

LePage and Bean will be joined at the opening by Portland’s mayor, the airport’s director and an official with HMSHost Corp., which will run the restaurant.
